Daniel E. Altis, Attorney
Daniel represents clients who have faced discrimination, harassment and retaliation under the Missouri Human Rights Act and federal law. He represents clients during investigations, at the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and in court.
Daniel is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Washington.
Daniel is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, both the national organization and local chapter. Daniel is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Before joining our firm, Daniel served as a law clerk to the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County, located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
Before becoming a lawyer, Daniel worked various jobs stocking shelves, waiting tables and canvassing neighborhoods and streets in support of campaigns to help working and poor people both at home and throughout the country.
Daniel is a fifth generation Missourian who comes from a union background. Daniel earned his law degree from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Daniel earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
Our law firm takes on other cases on behalf of workers. Attorneys in our office take on cases involving sexual harassment, sex and gender discrimination, race discrimination, race harassment and sexual orientation discrimination and harassment. Our lawyers also take on pregnancy discrimination and harassment, workers’ compensation retaliation and other forms of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. We also take on whistleblowing cases. Our workplace lawyers also represent workers in hostile work environment cases and EEOC charges.
